Pitbull has had his share of success lately with tracks like the "Jersey Shore" soundtrack song "I Like It" with pal Enrique Iglesias, but for his upcoming album, Planet Pit, Mr. 305 is aiming for global domination.

"This is really like a Planet Pit Now Hits album," Pitbull said earlier this week while recuperating from surgery to repair a broken hand sustained during a celebration in his Miami home Monday night. "I'm trying to make it 10 big singles, like, every record you hear you're gonna be asking, 'When's he going to put that out?' "

The disc, which is tentatively due December 8, is already living up to its billing, with planned guest spots from Akon, Shakira and Iglesias, as well as songs produced by such beat masters as Rodney Jerkins, Polow Da Don, David Guetta, Pharrell and Afrojack.

Pit said the chart-scorching template was set during his world tour in support of 2009's breakthrough double-platinum Rebelution album, which spawned the singles "Krazy," the Snooki favorite "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and "Shut it Down."

"I was on this world tour, and I got to see cities I can't even pronounce, places I didn't even know existed," he said. "I'm seeing everything going on in the world and the way music is working, and I thought, 'I have to have a power-packing album.' I wanted it to be like everything you were listening to could be a huge record. Not just two records and the rest is bullsh--. I want it to be like Lady Gaga and the Black Eyed Peas."

Once he's recovered from the broken hand, Pit is slated to film a video for the first single from the album, the club track "Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)," which will also feature T-Pain.

Given his plans to dominate the globe, Pitbull said he's going to be logging some serious road time, possibly heading down to South America with the Peas and then jumping on Iglesias' world tour. "I want to take it to the next level and represent," he said, explaining that unlike other crossover Latin superstars who've paved the way like Ricky Martin, Shakira and Iglesias, he's deeply rooted in the hop-hop community but can also jump on a pop record if he wants to. "I can't see Enrique on a Rick Ross record. To come from what I've come from and cross over into international [fame] and be worldwide and still be able to jump on an urban record? That's me."
